Back to hot-hot!  🙁

We have a week ahead without the temperature less than 100 any day this week.  🙁  There is no rain in the forecast.  The good thing is that the humidity will be almost nonexistent, but that means the temperatures will soar.  PTL that our God is in control of it all & He does all things well.  🙂

Yesterday was a blessing in many ways.  I lifted up Pastor David Brock in CA & Brad Lapiska in VA.  PTL for these faithful servants & their good congregations as sister churches to us.  The offertory was a violin solo by Mrs. Elizabeth (Barragan) Gallagher to “Give Me Jesus.”  The delightful sound was perfect to our ears & the Biblical words on the screen were a joy to the whole congregation.  Pastor Seth accompanied her on the piano & did his usual great job.  The choir sang, “In Christ Alone.”  The choir obviously enjoyed doing this song!  Their unison opening was pure sweetness.  When they broke into parts the harmony flowed luxuriously.  But the powerful dynamics of this song made it memorable. PTL.  I preached from Genesis 24:27 on “Qualities of a Trust-Worthy Servant.”  I used a unique role play featuring Miss Kaitlyn Near as the Bible character, Rebekah.  It was delightful, a bit humorous, & very memorable.  🙂

The evening service featured Missionary Mike Martin, administrator from Baptist World Mission.  He is a veteran missionary to Brazil & was a missionary kid from there.  His illustrations were replete with mention of things in his missionary experience which enhanced the message & peeked our interest.  He preached from II Corinthians 4:7-12 on “The Manifested Light.”  It was an excellent message with such quotes as “People should see the Light, not the vessel.”  The Christ-life must be seen in a true believer.”  “Sin tarnishes & impedes the light in your life.”

Not only did we enjoy good preaching, but the choir again performed splendidly.  Then Mr. Lance Owen’s trumpet offertory solo of “Blessed Calvary’ was clear, strong, & of a heavenly sound.  So we had so much for which to PTL yesterday.  And that is not even counting the extra sweet fellowship of God’s people.  Also we had two new ladies attend.  One just moved to Tucson from Southern IL; the other was a returnee from last Sunday.  They were both a blessing & encouragement to us all!  And on top of all these other good things, we had a youngster trust Christ as her Savior.  Does it get any better than that?  🙂

So there you have it from Bethel in Tucson.  It was a very good day for which I am praising the Lord greatly.  How about you?  🙂
